In a significant development in the Saif Ali Khan attack case, the Mumbai Police has recorded the statement of a woman from West Bengal, whose Aadhaar card was used by the accused to purchase a SIM card. According to police sources, a Mumbai team traveled to West Bengal to gather statements from two individuals linked to the case.
The police first recorded the statement of the woman whose Aadhaar details were misused by the accused. They later spoke with a relative of the accused, who resides in West Bengal. This relative helped the accused obtain the woman’s Aadhaar card, which he used to acquire the SIM card.
Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis addressed the media on Monday, clarifying that no confusion should arise regarding the ongoing investigation into the stabbing incident involving Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan. “The police are conducting a thorough investigation, and they have almost all the necessary information. The case will be brought to its logical conclusion. For your convenience, I will ask the Mumbai Commissioner of Police to provide all details about the case,” Fadnavis stated.
Meanwhile, Mumbai Police have collected blood samples and clothing from Saif Ali Khan as part of the investigation into the attack. Earlier this month, Saif Ali Khan was attacked by an intruder, later identified as Mohd Shariful Islam Shehzad, who had entered the actor’s residence with the intent to steal. Following a violent confrontation, Saif Ali Khan suffered multiple stab wounds, including injuries to his thoracic spine, and was rushed to Lilavati Hospital for immediate treatment.
